Irisys to announce new Thermal Imaging Engines for Security Applications at IFSEC

Posted by Richard Strange on May 5, 2009 3:43:00 PM

Irisys will be announcing at IFSEC its new IRI5300 range of Thermal Imaging engines. Providing outstanding imaging performance for night vision and surveillance applications, the IRI5300 features a high resolution, uncooled 384x288 sensor. The camera combines the traditional Irisys features of performance, flexibility and minimal cost of ownership and with different lens options, the module is designed to appeal to OEMs and systems integrators alike.

“Thermal Imaging has now reached a price-performance ratio which allows it to be used in a much wider range of applications. People are seeing the big advantages it offers in detecting a person both at night and separating them from the background during the day” says Andrew Rimmer, Business Development Director for Irisys.

The IRI5300 offers a range of features including changeable colour pallets, manual shutter and remote sensitivity control via RS232 or RS485 interface. Video protocols include PAL, NTSC and BT656.

Irisys will also be featuring at IFSEC: The IRI4011 Handheld Thermal Imager for Police applications including cannabis factory detection, Access Control Tailgate Detection, the new 3000 series IP based People Counters and Evacuation People Counting.
